2007 Lexus LS 460 Review
The new 2007 Lexus LS 460, the largest and most expensive sedan by Lexus is by far the best release so far by the luxury division of Toyota Motor Corporation. This fourth generation of the full-size RWD, which has been, for eighteen years, the flagship of Lexus has a more attractive and even more aggressive stance, thanks to Lexus new design style, L-Finesse.
The state-of-the-art exterior lighting features a Dual-swivel Adaptive Front Lighting System, with High Intensity Discharge (HID) headlamps which are more energy-effective, durable, and brighter than conventional halogen headlamps.
The Intuitive Parking Assist uses sensors to alert drivers when they get too close to other parked cars, and with the help of the Advanced Parking Guidance System, this car will virtually park itself. The electrochromic outside mirrors automatically reduce glare, when the light is too bright. A Smart Access Key activates both the doors and the ignition. The 19-inch wheels ensure an increased accuracy on handling.
The interior offers one of the most luxurious, executive-class seating available on the market: leather-trimmed seats, with a memory system which holds the driver’s and the passenger’s favorite position, the 8 GB hard-disk on the surround sound audio system, the voice-activated navigation system are but a few of the features which add up to making the Lexus LS 460 2007 one of the most comfortable cars available on the market.
A 4.6 liter engine with 380 hp and 367 lb-ft of torque (an amazing 36 percent more powerful than its predecessor) is actually the world’s first V8 engine which combines port and direct fuel injection, powering an acceleration from 0 to 100 km/h in a staggering 5.4 seconds.
Another novelty is the eight-speed automatic transmission, which, together with the direct injection system and the dual variable valve timing, significantly reduce fuel consumption and emissions, earning this model a well-deserved certification as an Ultra-Low Emission Vehicle (ULEV II). The Dynamic Radar Cruise Control helps maintain a safe distance from car in front, and the Electronic Controlled Braking (ECB) system is set to increase the level of safety both in critical situations and while parking the car.
Its safety features include sophisticated airbag placement, for optimal protection for all passengers, the ECB, as mentioned above, ABS, both prepared by the Pre-Collision System, an advanced Tire Pressure Monitor System, and three-points seatbelts, ensuring a high level of protection in critical situations.
All features considered, the Lexus LS 460 2007 takes this combination of luxury, manageability and safety to new heights, bringing it ever closer to the much more expensive sedans from Rolls-Royce and Maybach.

Lexus Gs 450h Hybrid Exterior and Interior Review
ExteriorThe staple of a Lexus vehicle is the strong emotional reaction people have to the car, be it passion or awe, and in the case of the GS 450h, we see that easily. This hybrid sedan has a style to it that accentuates the advanced and eco-friendly future that Lexus has seen, without sacrificing the quality language of the brand. In simply looking at the exterior, the GS 450h is a much more elongated and stretched vehicle in design with a long, sleek hood and a lower setting to the ground. The rear deck of the vehicle is shorter than other Lexus sedans and there is a more set-back greenhouse capacity. The lines are clean and fluid, giving the vehicle a very sleek yet simple sensation. There is a sense of class quite clearly evident when looking at the aesthetic of the car’s design, but Lexus doesn’t ignore functionality. While maintaining the luxurious style Lexus is known for, the hybrid still manages to reflect its practicality and usability. Like many other hybrid cars on the market, the GS 450h is built to be aerodynamic and utilizes engineering to create a body that can fend off wind resistance. The car’s drag coefficient is substantially reduced, giving the vehicle a much smoother drive, without havin to deal wit the effect of air pressure. This isn’t just an exterior feature either – the lessening of air resistance translates to a quiet ride. In looking at the exterior, aside from body, there are several features to take note of, one being the unique high-density-discharge headlights. These lights can more than compensate for what are standard headlights. The wipers on the GS 450h actually sense the rain and activate, which is a must-see and the mirrors have heat elements to reduce fogging and are power-adjustable. The 18-inch wheels are stylish and functional, and the grill and front fascia are gorgeous. Also, LCDs in the vehicle work as rear brake lights while the turn signals are integrated into the mirrors.InteriorGiven that the GS 450h hybrid sedan is a luxury-class vehicle, you would expect nothing less than a plush, comfortable interior. That is exactly what you get with the GS 450h. The leather interior is soft, smooth and comforting, and the stainless steel scuff plates aren’t overly prominent. These and a great collection of accessories that are advanced and stylish make this vehicle truly one of the top luxury cars on the market, hybrid or conventional. To be expected, the driver’s seat feels incredibly comfortable and is set higher to enable increased visibility and to relieve painful strain from lowered seats. The seat is a 10-way power adjustable bolstered driver’s seat with heating capabilities. The steering wheel is telescopic and tilting, and the interior also has fine wood trimming with an exquisite dashboard. The dashboard also has wood trim and is home to the instrumentation panels with multiple controls and buttons that are centralized and sensitive for the driver’s comfort and convenience. One of the best features of the Lexus line is the center console located right above the audio system, which holds a 7-inch electronic screen. The screen allows the navigation system, backup camera and dual climate control are operated and viewed. Convenient, at your fingertips and safer, the only feature that could make this better is the voice recognition software that is available. With that, the only thing is do is sit back and drive as the features make for a hands-free ride.As with any vehicle, the safety of yourself and your passengers is permanent and Lexus doesn’t go lean on safety. With 10 different airbags in the vehicle, all placed in specific locations to maximize efficiency and provide a safe environment. With dual-front airbags on both front as well as rear seats, there are also several side airbags designed to prevent fatalities in any given situation. If space is a concern for you, don’t let it be. The seats are incredibly roomy, and the rear passenger seat can easily fit three passengers. While the center seat would be elevated from the center cushion hiding the battery pack, rest assured that there is still plenty of shoulder or leg room.If there is anything to criticize about this luxury sedan, it would be the trunk space. Due to the battery pack’s location at the rear of the vehicle, the trunk is only 7.5 feet, which is smaller than conventional sedans.

Lexus Gs 450h Hybrid Extended Review
The first thing to realize about Lexus’s GS 450h hybrid is that the vehicle wasn’t solely designed to be a fuel-efficient hybrid. The fact of the matter is that as a Lexus, this line is expected to consistently develop more impressive and sophisticated vehicles, be it gas-powered or hybrid. This is no exception, as the GS 450h is still a high-performance vehicle, able to keep up with any other luxury sports car or sedan. As a result, car enthusiasts will always continue to enjoy and be comforted by driving such a smooth and valuable vehicle. Considering that Lexus is a name under Toyota, the technology in the GS 450h is just as up to date as is to be expected. The Hybrid Synergy Drive from Toyota is the technology that makes the acceleration much easier to achieve. Since the Drive technology can generate combined horsepower of 340, the GS 450h can rev and blaze down the road like any other sports sedan. The GS 450h handles like any other sports car, with being able to reach 60 mph in 5.2 seconds and then can come to a full stop from 60 mph in only 123 feet. At its top speed, the Lexus GS 450h has been recorded at 131 mph. Part of what makes that so possible is the Mark Levinson system and the CVT technology utilized in this Lexus vehicle. This beautiful vehicle runs quietly, smoothly, and with the top speeds for hybrid vehicles today. Amazingly, the Lexus GS 450h set out to bring together high-end performance vehicles with the eco-friendly necessities of the environment. And Lexus has succeeded in creating an elegant, chic, playful, smooth and luxurious vehicle has wins over other hybrid cars hands down. The handling itself of the vehicle is extremely precise, with a suspension system to match. A speed-sensing steering wheel and the double-wishbone suspension in the GS 450h create the precise handling you’ve come to expect from a Lexus.Fuel Efficiency and the Green FactorIn 2007, Consumer Reports reviewed the GS 450h and it was determined that this vehicle was an overall success, ultimately quite reliable. Thanks to that report, people took note of Lexus’s hybrid sedan, looking at the environmental factors of the car. The EPA rated the gas mileage for the GS 450h at 22 mpg in the city, and 25 mpg on the highway. While not quite as good as Toyota’s Prius, the GS 450h is still better than its conventional counterpart. The difference really shines through in city driving, where the hybrid gets 22 mpg and the conventional only gets a paltry 19 mpg. The fuel-efficiency factor of the Lexus is easily accessible and obvious in the car’s design, inside and out. Most notably it is in the two electric motors that operate during specific situations in tandem or separately from the gas engine. This way, the ride you experience is a seamless transition from one form of energy to another, while silently reducing harmful emissions and lowering gasoline consumption. Another feature that has become a staple of the Toyota-brand hybrids is this regenerative braking technology that self-charges the integrated battery pack. When the brakes are activated, or even if the car is decelerating, the energy produced is converted into electrical energy, stored in the battery pack for later use.Additional FeaturesThe safety feature of the GS 450h are high-tech and near pre-cognitive when you need them. This hybrid utilizes a Pre-Collision radar system to detect oncoming vehicles. This way, even your vehicle can help you prevent collisions or incidences and in the event it can’t, prepare for oncoming trauma. In fact, the safety features are prominent from the moment you step into the vehicle. You may not notice at first, but the moment your foot is on the brakes, decelerating, you can feel the seatbelt retract and the brake assist is instantly activated. As far as active, not passive, safety systems, you would be hard-powered to find one as extensive as in the GS 450h. In the event of a crash, the hybrid is standard with dual-stage airbags in every location that would be able to protect you and your passengers in the event of a crash. The vehicle has airbags placed so that in the event of frontal impact, or other major collision incidences, everyone is protected on all fronts. There are several other safety features of the GS 450h, and not all of them have been mentioned. The fully colored backup camera, braking assist, and airbags have all been mentioned, but there is also an electronic traction control, child-care system, a rigid body structure to the vehicle, crumple zones, and anti-lock braking systems leave you feel well protected. The next question is the one of price, and be very aware that it is a hefty. At the base cost, expect to pay about $54,655. That cost is already $10,000 higher than a conventional gas-powered Lexus GS, but considering the car’s quality and brand, the price is nearly to be expected. After all, it is a Lexus, and the brand is known for expense, luxury and high-end quality. So, if you find yourself in a position that you can spend the money to purchase a Lexus GS 450h, the vehicle will last you quite a while and will be well worth every penny spent.
