Welcome to the CAD Web Site It is a great honor to welcome you to the Connecticut Association of the Deaf (CAD) website. Though this website is in its new beginning stages, CAD has a long history of civil rights and protections for deaf and hard of hearing citizens in Connecticut since 1939. The purpose of this website is to ensure that deaf and hard of hearing persons have the equal access, opportunity and options to participate in the mainstream. We have been dedicated and committed to advocacy for human rights, and equal opportunities in all environments: home, work, school, and social to secure and protect the best interests of the deaf and hard of hearing citizens in CT. I am very pleased and hand-wave to all CAD active members and supporters for their many years of distinguished work and encouragement to advance our intellectual, vocational, and social conditions. Their participation in learning and gatherings at the statewide conferences are very beneficial and worthwhile. As president of CAD, I want to encourage you to browse this new website. Please feel free let us know if you have any questions or comments by contacting me at president@deafct.org to give us your feedback. Thank you for visiting our site.
